Making Money On Internet

My South African Miraculous Affiliate Company

My South African Miraculous Affiliate Company

My South African Miraculous Affiliate Company

A miracle is defined as the moment when opportunity meets preparation. To me, this can perfectly be defined by what happened to me with an affiliate company based in South Africa. You may think I’m making up the story, but there is a proof to what I’m talking about if you go the articles where details are outlined on the matter.

So many things are said about affiliate companies. Struggling to make it work for many webmasters makes the industry somewhat less lucrative, yet adopting some meaningful qualities may mean a success even for newbies. Those that have failed often publish discouraging and deceptive content just to satisfy their conscious and cope with their failure. This reminds me of a story of a fox that tried to reach for grapes hanging from a tree. This fox is said to have failed several times picking even one grape and it decided to convince itself that he grapes were sour, just so it copes with its failure.

It takes for a hard, tough and serious thought to make a move towards encouraging an affiliate webmaster to do even more promotions. Can you imaging google adsense calling you from America just to encourage you on your good work. How would you feel? What would you do?

I have received a business call from an affiliate marketing website, which turn my whole perception about the industry. It turned out to be my greatest moment ever in this field of internet affiliate marketing. You know what the manager had to say about my website? I have detailed the story in two articles ‘An Experience with Offerforge!’ and ‘A Very Special Affiliate Marketing Call’. I hope you get encouraged and set out to do what you like through to success.

  1. Google = affiliate marketing = expensive?

Google's affiliate program is the Performics Affiliate Network http://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=97264 – are you saying you are a member of Performics? Yahoo's affiliate program is managed by Commission Junction http://www.cj.com so you need to apply to CJ first

Or are you confusing your terms and you mean their pay per click program wherein you spend money and bid on keywords to bring traffic to your site? That's Google Adwords http://www.google.com/adwords and Yahoo's equivalent product to that is Yahoo Search Marketing http://sem.smallbusiness.yahoo.com/searchenginemarketing/index.php

If you are referring to Google Adsense http://www.google.com/adsense where you earn by putting ads on your site, Yahoo's equivalent to that is Yahoo Publisher Network http://publisher.yahoo.com but it is open only to US based publishers

  2. Hi: I have joined over 140 affiliate programs of gaming sites (bingo, casino, poker, skill games, and sportsbooks). Only about two dozen or so of these have resulted in any income — around $4K in the last 6 months.

If you are interested in promoting gaming sites, then you may find my article helpful; it's called "Seven Tips for Choosing an Online Gaming Affiliate Program". It contains tips as well as my top 12 recommended affiliate programs.

  3. Affiliate programs are the first choice of most newcomers to net earnings because they have many advantages:

    1. All you have to do is to join a merchant program as an affiliate and send visitors to the merchant site

    2. All other work such as making a sale, delivering the product or service, receiving payment, attending to the complaints or making a refund, is handled by the merchant site.

    3. The merchant site also sees to it that you are paid commission when a sale is made through your efforts.

    4. You are also rewarded when a sale is made through the efforts of an affiliate referred by you to the merchant site.

All easy and simple. But most affiliates soon find that in spite of their best efforts they are not making any money.

This is because the affiliate earnings depend not on how many visitors they send to the merchant site, but how many of them buy the product or service of the merchant.

So just sending visitors to the merchant site is not enough.
You can do this easily by joining traffic exchange or autosurf programs. Your merchant site will be seen hundreds of times but it will not make a sale. This is because these visitors are not interested in your site. They are looking at it to earn credits so they can show their site to others.

This is not to say that traffic programs have no use at all.
I have used them successfully to build my downline in free-to-join programs, but have never made a sale through them. Most members of such programs are promoting their own programs. They could get interested in joining other opportunities, but would rarely go for a product themselves.

So if you want to earn from affiliate programs, the thing to do is to send interested visitors to your merchant site.

    Who is an interested visitor?
This is the visitor who reached your site by himself. He is looking for the product you are promoting. This is why he took the trouble of finding it from a search engine or from the particular kind of ads or forums.

This visitor is red hot for a sale. He is already interested in your product. If he finds what he wants on your merchant site, he is very much likely to look at the product's features, mentally compare it with other similar products, ask for more information by giving his email address. All this can lead to a sale and a commission for you.

    How to target interested visitors
The best way to reach interested visitors is promoting your products through search engines submissions, placing catchy ads, posting in forums or through your own website.

This may sound daunting to newcomers at first but all these are do-able with a little effort. You can get help for mastering all these skills from the resources freely available on the internet.

Joining right affiliate programs can also help a good deal to gain affiliate mastery. While great many affiliate programs give you a few text ads and banners and be done with you, there are some programs that give valuable training to succeed.

    Be positive
Most newcomers to internet earning fail because they expect to be rich in a week, if not overnight. When this doesn't happen as it rarely does in real life, they get discouraged. They are also influenced by others who like them tried but failed to earn with affiliate programs. The result — they give up, frustrated.

The reality is that nobody becomes rich overnight in internet marketing. You have to work at it consistently. Most important of all, banish negative thinking from your life and believe that if others have succeeded, you, too, can and will.

That perhaps is the most important ingredient for your success.

  6. Everyone on this page (so far) is offering you a program (except for Helen) and they all benefit from those programs if you join the programs. But that does not answer your question …

A blog is a type of software that helps you post (display) small articles on the web without having to set up a website. Most software for blogging are free.

Go to http://blogger.com to see some examples or set up a free one.

What's the point of blogging? Well, you can start talking about a specific topic eg beahc vacations. The you promote your blog and get traffic (visitors) to it and build a relationship with your readers.

Then if yor recommend a product or a holiday package from a company some of your readers may buy. If you are an affiliate for tht company, when somone buys you get a commission. The company pays you directly.

So selling (by promoting or recommending) products from other companies that you are registered with as an affiliate is called affiliate marketing.

You can do affiliate markeitng with or without blogging. There are a huge number of ways.

Can you make "quick" money, from affiliate markeitng? Yes and no. It is possible to make "quick" money but not for someone totally new.

When you know what you're doing, you can do anything quickly.

First you need to learn about affiliate marketing. Do some searches. Do not join any prigrams. Just learn from the info already published and there's a ton of it out there.

For example, do a search on

    http://ezinearticles.com

for "affiliate marketing". It is completely free. There is no registration or anything else. And LEARN LEARN LEARN.

How much can you make? There's a guy called Chris Wilson I think. He started with affiliate marketing (after learning what to do … took him a few months). He started earning a few hundred dollars per month …. and eventually hit $100,000 per month.

There are people who make 100K per week!

But the vast majoirty of people never make any money because they do not learn the basics and the intermediate and then the advanced stuff. They learn just a little and don't even apply half of what they learn.

They then give up and move on to another "scheme" or "program" and there are tons of those as you can see from the recommendations (offers) on this page.

And they continue to jump from one program to another. Literally millions of people go on program hopping for 2 or 3 years and spend thousands each and earn nothing.

Don't be one of those. Just learn, apply, monitor the results, make little (but very important) improvements and monitor again. This continuous process willl make rich beyond your imagination and you don't need any schemes or programs or tricks or shortcuts (that don't exist).

    Happy learning and earning
    S

  7. Yes, people really do make money through affiliate marketing. Some quite lucratively in fact. However, it can become an unfulfilled dream for those who perceive it to be easy. Being a successful affiliate marketer is an acquired skill. I would recommend much study of how affiliate marketing works prior to getting involved. If you would like some study and tips on this topic. You can visit a web page from the web host that I personally use at http://affiliatemarketing.sitesell.com/UnstoppableDreams.html

  8. I just started doing affiliate marketing about 4 months ago as I wanted something to do part-time from home since I am a stay at home mom. My husband's job is unstable, so we need some income to fall back on just in case. When I researched things I could do from home, affiliate marketing seemed the most lucrative, but then I found out just how many affiliate programs there are and I was so overwhelmed (which I'm sure you are too!)

Someone whom I met on a WAHM forum recommend that I check out http://www.mattbacak.com and I was blown away by him. This guy is a millionaire from doing marketing online. I read just about everything that I could read from Matt Bacak and decided that I was going to subscribe to his Marketing Dirt newsletter as well.

In the past 4 months since starting, I have learned so much and I totally recommend you check this guy out. I have not made that much money yet, as one thing you should know is that it does take time, but I am slowly starting to see more traffic to my sites and more sales, which I am thrilled about.

I am hoping by summer 2010, I can have 15 websites generating at least $2 a day each, so that would generate a monthly income of around $1000 which is great for part- time. Anyways, check out his site to learn what you should do and how to make money from affiliate programs.
